Women and Investing Session, Sponsored by Money Magazine - Saving, investing, budgeting, earning and protecting one’s assets are financial management tasks that have no gender. Yet women often face different challenges than men do, and have different priorities and concerns, that can impact how they handle their finances: They typically live longer than men, earn less, are more apt to take time off from careers, and consider themselves more conservative and less knowledgeable when it comes to money—though that’s changing somewhat as wives’ contribution to family income increases. This panel explores the latest research on women and money to help define different strategies women should have to achieve their financial goals.
