The FPA Annual Conference is the largest global gathering of financial planning professionals attracting over 2,000 attendees representing more than 20 countries. International attendees can take advantage of exceptional educational opportunities while connecting to the bigger world of financial planning.
FPA is pleased to invite international planners to the first FPA Knowledge Circle Summit on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. The summit will take an in-depth look at internationally relevant topics with a mix of both international and domestic planner discussions and provides the opportunity for personal interaction with a variety of experts. The FPA Knowledge Circle Summit will address FPA Knowledge Circles in a live setting to discuss client issues, tackle business objectives and connect you with global peers to develop key takeaways to apply to your practice.
The FPA Knowledge Circle Summit is filled with panels, speakers and roundtable discussion around:
- International/Cross-Border Planning
- Business Success
- Retirement Planning
- Theory in Practice (How to implement research into your practice)
- Investment Planning
- Public Policy and Regulation
Each Knowledge Circle “session” provides time for attendees to dive into conversation, networking and problem-solving for shared takeaways with their peers. The day also includes a lunch to provide attendees with additional time to network in a relaxed and casual setting.
FPA Knowledge Circle Summit attendees will receive an exclusive first look at the new FPA hands-on Tech Kiosks before the FPA Annual Conference begins! Experience an in-person tutorial with experts from a variety of financial planning software companies. A great time to receive guidance, test and compare competing software and find complementary products that work in sync with your growing practice.
An invitation to the Knowledge Circle Summit Reception, from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM which rounds out this day of connected education, providing participants another opportunity to network with colleagues from around the world.
Many social and learning elements International attendees enjoyed during previous FPA International Study Tours will remain as part of the offerings of the Summit. International planners are welcome to reach out to Christine Walsh to help find local planners to visit as part of an independent study group activity. FPA, however, will not be involved with arranging visits or for transportation to the sites.
Note: The agenda unofficially begins the evening of Monday, September 12 with an impromptu international “Dutch” dinner – each individuals pays for themselves. Everyone is welcome, an RSVP is required to attend, please contact Christine Walsh to register or for more information.
