CE Credit

The FPA Annual Conference offers attendees a possible maximum of 17 hours of continuing education credit, pending submission and acceptance by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. FPA designs its programs to comply with the principles of good practice accepted by most major professions. Additional CE credit hours will be available through conference recordings provided FREE to all conference attendees.

CFP Board Continuing Education Credit
To take advantage of the continuing education opportunities this year, it is critical that you have your badge scanned at CE-eligible sessions. To ensure that your CFP Board CE credit is processed, please be in the room in the first 10 minutes of the session and have your badge scanned. If your badge does not work or is not scanning properly, please visit the FPA Registration Desk.

Other Designations
If you hold another designation, please check your on-site guide. Courses we’ve had approved by CFP Board may be eligible for other kinds of professional credit (CPA CPE, international designations, etc.), and you can use your certificate of completion, available on the FPA website within two weeks after the conference, to self-report credit for those designations.

General Information
FPA designs its programs to comply with the principles of good practice accepted by most major professions. Unless otherwise specified, FPA will apply for acceptance from CFP Board and report continuing education to CFP Board on behalf of attendees. CFP Board has final authority on accepted sessions. Additionally, attendees may self-report continuing education credit to Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP), Professional Achievement in Continuing Education (PACE) and Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA). Designees may download and print a certificate of completion from the FPA website two weeks following the event for self-reporting purposes.

Financial Planning Association is registered with the National Association of the State Board’s of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. No advanced preparation is required for courses offered at this conference.

Reporting Continuing Education Credit
FPA will automatically report credit to CFP Board within two weeks of the conference. Attendees are responsible for self-reporting CE credit for other designations. Two weeks following the conference, attendees may download and print a Certificate of Completion (login required) from the FPA website, www.OneFPA.org. Please be certain your FPA online profile contains your CFP® ID to ensure timely reporting.

International Attendees
To track continuing education credits, be sure to do the following: have your badge scanned upon entering all sessions attended and save all handout materials for your records. You can then submit this information with your certificate of completion on a self-reporting basis after the conference is over. Download and print a certificate of completion from the FPA website, www.OneFPA.org, two weeks following the event. Sister organizations of FPA generally assess CE credit hours as listed in the comprehensive brochure.
